Sparks shouldn't matter, of course as long as your not leaking fuel. I mounted my walbro 255 on the back of the cab. Remove the fender well on the drivers rear. And you will have easy access to mount the pump. Its mounted up high so I wouldn't worry about sparks get to it.

My sole reason for flipping the throttle body around was my faiv coolant lines faced towards the motor and not away for a cleaner for a look. However I've since removed the faiv so it wasn't even an issue ...

I wouldn't suggest using the DSM oil cooler for a heat exchanger on your intercooler.

The oil cooler is for the oil. Im using a a/c condenser from the eclipse as the heat exchanger. You can't see it in the pictures.


I havn't made brackets yet for the air/to/water box so I might move it anything ...

I have a palm emulator on an old laptop that I can use, I forget the software that it runs.

However I did what you just said already, I hooked up a light and read the ecu diag codes sucessfully. I just wondered why I couldn't get the CEL light to turn on, even on initial power and ignition.

Check Engine Light

On the ecu what does it output, +12, -12? Reason I ask, I tested my ecu the other day, and couldn't get any volts out of it. My diag wire works, i can read codes off of it, so I know the ecu is booting and working.

But still can't get anyhing out of the CEL, any ideas?

Imagine keeping the faic always at the bottom. And rotating the t-body 180 degrees on the x-axis. The coolant pipes face away from the motor when normal, and face the engine when flipped around.

Might be a really retarded question.
But Im going to be keeping the stock intake with the inlet flipped. The throttle body seems to fit better flipped. The water lines meet up better and the throttle linkage seems to be in a better position, and not to mention it hides that bulky FAIC at the bottom ...

I welded a bung fitting on the metal pipe that goes right below the exhaust. Makes for a short connection piece. (AN hoses are insane in price.) I then ran a line from the otherside of the turbo to my front mounted thermostat.

Hopefully I'm saying this right...

The bypass is the metal tube that goes underneight the exhaust manifold. There is a suction on this pipe not pressure. So this sucks coolant through the heatercore and the heatercore should be connected to the high pressure side just below the thermostat.

I'd be more concerned about what tranny you'll be using..

High reving motors are a blast to drive. My ITR fuel cuts at 10k. And with shortened gearing (5th gear is 1:1) its just awesome. However running on the interstate around 80mph im sitting at over 5k.

It will fit. However the 91 and up cas connector will come in contact with the heater core pipe. if you get one from a 90 it has a pig tail harness on the bottom. firewall clearance on my truck (green top cas) was about quarter inch with the motor in the stock location.

Soooo we have two different 4G63s out there. SOHC & DOHC. :?


There are 4g63 wideblocks and 4g63 Narrow blocks. The only known KM132 that has a narrow block bell housing pattern came off a 2.0 MightyMax/D50 all others use the wideblock.
