So, 4G64 with a 4G63 crank, 162 mm rods, and 9.0:1 Wiseco pistons to make a 2.1L destroked block. I heard it revs to 11k. Is that true? Piston speeds would be above 6000 feet/min...
There's a bunch of 7-bolts wideblocks on car-part.com, but is there any benefit? I've read the smaller port 2G head has better midrange, while the 1G has better top end. The cam angle sensor on the 2G located on the front might be worth making the swap though...but then again you can bore the 2G head stud holes 1 mm larger to be put on a 1G block?
I don't know my Mitsubishi turbos at all...do they make manifolds that have a T3 or T4 flange on them? Then again, I don't even know where to start to find a turbo that'll keep up to 11k if I go that route. 288/288 cams probably? What other supporting modifications will I need? Oil pump will probably get cavitation and I'll need to go dry sump... The OEM crank should perform adequately hopefully?
If I remove the balance shafts, would it be a good idea to balance the crank? And if I'm balancing the crank, do I need to send in the whole rotating assembly or just the crank itself?
Can someone provide a little more detail about the unbridged main caps?

Are these the unbridged ones?
