Mike > Are you using a DSM flywheel? I just can't imagine a ACT pressure plate, 1G fwd flywheel, and any 225mm clutch disc slipping in a rwd. I would think the tires would lose traction before the clutch did.

Jeff is right. You can remove the two solenoids and their associated wiring. Not having them will not cause a CEL. I have been driving my 4G63 powered truck for ~ 4 years now without them, and I even legitimately passed multiple Massachusetts (read: tough) emissions tests without them.

Hi Jeff,

1) Your BW that goes to your ignition coil , MPI relay, etc. needs to be fed power from the ignition switch.

2) Your O2 sensor is missing a couple grounds. I will assume you didn't include them on purpose because they don't connect to the ECU.

3) 5 wires on the CAS seems like 1 Red too ...

I used -6 AN line on my GSX a LONG time ago and found it to be too small. It caused me to burn oil. I then upgraded straight to -10 AN and all was well again. So I would recommend -10 AN if you are going to do it,

If you swap the whole axle to one from a different make, you also have to have a custom driveshaft made to mate up to it. So I guess you just have the pick your battle. I didn't think swapping the LSD into my rear differential was difficult, but I could see how it looks that way. Either way works ...

The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is used for emissions reasons. It attaches to the intake manifold and recirculation exhaust gasses back into the intake manifold when you are at highway speeds. This burns exhaust gasses twice leaves less crap coming out the tailpipe.

Here is my American.... muscle? A 1964 Impala Convertible (straight 6, 4-speed muncie :) ). Don't mind the wheels, they are only on there because the stock wheels didnt work with disc brakes.....they will be gone soon I swear.

How about checking the coolant temp sensor. If that is wired wrong or not hooked up, it makes starting a cold 4G63 a real pain in the ass, because the ECU doesn't know the engine is cold.
