how to convert 1g fwd eclipse to rwd

Post by Ivan »

Hello everyone, I`m new in the forum, and I`m glad I found it.

I`ve read a lot about rwd 4g63 , but my question is how to convert my 92 fwd eclipse to rwd. I know this will be difficult but I want to do it.
The problem doesn`t ends with fitting the engine with the transmission. I`ve readed that the front suspension must be all new and different. From Mustang II for example, how about the rear suspension? And differential from what car I need to use. All I want is to recieve an information on what kind of parts are needed. The conversion will be accomplished by some friends of mine who are good mechanics.
There is an information about what kind of transmission to use how to fit it with the engine and other stuff but I didn`t found "how to convert fwd eclipse to rwd" thats the reason I write you.

And now I want to explain for what will be the car used. I don`t want exactly a drag or a drift car , but yes sometimes I will use it for this, but just for fun and not always. I want a daily rwd 400hp car to enjoy me ,and I want this to be my 92 fwd eclipse as I wrote ,because this is my first car and it is special to me :) thank you

Hello Ivan

converting the Eclipse into a RWD was not in the plan.
the plan was to transplant the 4G63 into an existing RWD car
