Getting Out

I'm leaving home to finish the last years of my education and the rents aren't going to let me leave the stockpile behind so I'm selling everything. I've accumulated a lot of stuff over 5 years so if you need something from a 1G DSM or 2.4L truck there's a good chance I have it including a lot of ...

Interesting, I feel stupid. Dug up some more info from RRE:

EVO Motors: The valve covers of the EVO 1-3 motors will be a kind of titanium color. They are the same as a US 2G motor with nothing fancy. They have the smaller 2G style intake ports, a small runner intake manifold with a larger plenum ...

EVO 1-3 = DSM 2G 7 bolt engine (transmission is on the passenger side)
EVO4+ = EVO 8 Engine (transmission is on the driver side)

Once you have the engines on the same side they spin in opposite directions.

7/92 is a wideblock, but also supposed to be 7 bolt... 6 bolt stopped in 5/92, but i would check it out just to make sure. 12/86 auto 2.0l could be a narrowblock or wideblock. I don't know anyone familiar with the auto transmissions to say for sure, so the best way to tell is to measure the 2 lower ...

Not going to jump into any of the theories here, but to reference Robert Young from Forced Performance: the FP1 and FP2 are designed for the 88mm stroke, the FP2 being more aggressive, while the FP3 and FP4 are designed for the 100mm stroke, the FP4 being more aggressive.

ARP rod bolts are ~$70, so the deal is easily better for the eagles. I wouldn't go any cheaper than scat rods which are ~$320 everywhere.

The problem with the CAS is it may want to occupy the same space as the heater core lines. I know this is an issue with the trucks, not sure about other RWD vehicles. The solution is just to bend them out of the way.

You have a narrow block. The block you need for a the b2600 bellhousing to work is a wide 2.4L block. They came in RWD trucks and vans. The narrow 2.0L block out of a RWD truck will not work.

I have a 7 bolt wide block if you want it.

Soldering iron, desoldering braid, and solder can all be had at radioshack. The only thing you'd need are the capacitors.

You may as well remove the 3 capacitors and see how bad it really is. Clean the board with whatever you got. I used acrysol as a solvent and alcohol as a rinse.

They really aren't hard to repair. Just look for where the acid may have eaten through the traces in the board, and if needed reconnect ...
