1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max Manual Trans KM132 5 Speed w 148k
I have an extra 5 speed that I can now let go because I've sold my truck. If you haven't upgraded to a better transmission with Bill Hincher's bellhousings, this will bolt right up to the 4G63T for a RWD setup. I got this transmission with an engine and a lot of extra parts and it should work fine ...

Selling my Turbo Mighty Max
Yes, its true. I am selling my truck that I have built and enjoyed for so long. I’m trying to move on to greener pastures you could say. I’ve wrote a long ad with a lot of information and pictures located here: http://home.nc.rr.com/davidlane/Max%20for%20Sale.html So please review that site and ...

RWD 4G63T Swap Intake Manifold & 2G Elbow
Cleaning out the shed and I don't need this as a paperweight anymore. Yeah it looks beat and its not the prettiest, but it works and could be improved upon. I used it initially when I did the 4g swap and built a better one later that I'm still using. It would be better than starting from scratch for ...

Took the 4g63t Mighty Max to the dyno
I took the truck to Turbo Tune in Greensboro, NC and had a good time for my first dyno session. We took it through probably six or seven pulls on the dyno. From my initial tuning, it was churning out 234hp and 240 pounds of torque, and after a few runs and tweaking the afc, it ended up making around ...

Not trying to hijack the thread, but the info I need may be useful for swap information. I found a guy online near me that is into building late 70's early 80's toyota engines, and I asked him if he had any spare RWD transmissions he may want to part with. One is from a 1.8, 3TC...it's a 5 speed

I like the stock wheels he uses on the rear. I have four of them to burn down eventually as well. A gently used EvoIII 16g is going on my truck over the weekend, and hopefully I can get the thing fully tuned finally. The last turbo had an air leak out the back of the compressor when doing boost leak ...

It may be of help to you. I kept the AWD drive bellhousing from the talon I sourced my engine and parts from in case I decided to go this route. The transmission was dead already.

FS: 1991 4g63t with 133.5K from a 1991 Tsi AWD
Hey everyone,
I am going on a vacation soon and have decided to sell my spare engine. I personally removed this 4G63T from a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi with 133,500 miles. I had bought the Tsi back in mid-November in order to remove the engine and other various parts to swap the 4G63T into my 1988 Mitsu ...

Just shows that everything is running well. I checked my gas mileage yesterday when I filled up, and its getting 21mpg of city driving...and I driven it a little hard at times. I know I still have some tuning to do, and my last log indicated all the fuel trims running over 100, so ...

I was finally able to set up the logger and gather some information today. I was glad the logger worked because I had to hard wire the data cable to the ECU, plus use a USB to Serial converter that took a bit to set up. I also finished installing the 2g MAS today and had to re-route a few things in ...

Mighty Max Transmission Info
Hey everyone,
I don't know if this will help add to the discussion of available transmissions for the 4g63t, but I had to pull diagrams for someone about the automatic transmission used in the Mighty Max's, so I've attached the file. Maybe the info will be useful to someone. This block of text is ...

Here's a vid, I don't have any of the truck driving yet. I got a little happy footed on the highway through a construction zone, and when going fast I hit a bump and broke my home made gauge pod. I have the option to run the thermostat housing on the front since the guy I bought my engine from had a welder weld an aluminum pipe and plate to allow the mounting. Its driveable!
I checked the engine codes this morning, it only pulled up the fuel pump which is okay because I'm not using the stock pump or harness. I checked all fluids, took it for a drive around the neighborhood, and it drove fine, didn't overheat. Came back home, checked everything out, then ...

Anyone have any luck in setting up the check engine light? I'm not sure if I have mine wired up quite right and I'd like to know how anyone else wired up a light. I bought a separate indicator light that I would like to use. Also, as far as obtaining diagnostic codes, anyone have a good setup? I ...
