I am going on a vacation soon and have decided to sell my spare engine. I personally removed this 4G63T from a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi with 133,500 miles. I had bought the Tsi back in mid-November in order to remove the engine and other various parts to swap the 4G63T into my 1988 Mitsu Mighty Max. Before buying the Tsi, I performed a compression test and all cylinders are 155+psi. In the middle of my truck swap process, I was afforded the opportunity to purchase a different engine as well as some additional parts, and I ended up using the second engine. I had planned to keep this engine as a spare, but I would rather now have the cash. The engine has been mounted to the pictured engine stand and covered under two layers of plastic the entire time it has been removed from the Tsi.
When I was able to start the second engine for my truck project, the turbo seals ended up being bad, so I removed the working turbo from the Tsi’s engine, and I am using it. You will notice that the freeze plug has been removed from the front of the head; I once had plans to attach the thermostat housing to the front of the engine with a custom bracket, but did not complete the process b/c I bought the other engine, all the buyer will need to do is slap in a new freeze plug. You will also notice that there is a 1990 CAS on the engine; the second engine I bought was a 1990 engine, and I had to use the ’91 CAS and ignition system for my truck swap, I just stuck the 1990 CAS on there to keep things clean. I also decided to use the 1991 water cooled oil filter housing, and placed the 1990 housing on this engine. With this engine, I will supply the water pump, starter, alternator, intake manifold, throttle body, various brackets that I removed, and the turbo if the offerer decides they would like to have those extra parts.
I would like to take offers on the engine for a few days, and if no reasonable offers come through, I will decide on a set price and then negotiate. As far as the offers go, if you just need the engine, just name a price for the engine, if you would like to also have the turbo, alternator, and other parts, include an offer with those pieces you need as well. I have this engine advertised on a few other sites, so it would be best if any interested parties could email me at afairlane500@nc.rr.com with questions or offers so I don’t have to check private messages on various sites too often. I may also be reached at (919) 624-9136. I do finally have my truck running, and I would be willing to deliver the engine within a reasonable distance if the buyer can supply me with some gas money, the buyer may also pick the engine up at my house in Raleigh, NC. I really do not want to mess with shipping the engine. If the buyer needs the engine shipped, then I will expect the buyer to coordinate with a shipping company of their choice in Raleigh, NC, and I will drop the engine off for packing and shipping. But consider taking a road trip, they’re fun sometimes
