1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max Manual Trans KM132 5 Speed w 148k

Post by TruckA »

I have an extra 5 speed that I can now let go because I've sold my truck. If you haven't upgraded to a better transmission with Bill Hincher's bellhousings, this will bolt right up to the 4G63T for a RWD setup. I got this transmission with an engine and a lot of extra parts and it should work fine although I've never tested it. I'll guarantee the buyer that this won't be a DOA and you should expect shipping to be in the $100-150 neighborhood. Its been sitting under my house in dry storage for almost two years. I'll palletize the transmission for you at no extra cost. Please don't ask me for shipping quotes unless you're serious on getting this, if you want to find out for yourself just go to www.uship.com and make a post and shippers will bid on the shipping cost. I'll let this go cheap for $150 plus whatever the cost of shipping is. If you want to email or call, try dlane20@nc.rr.com or 919 624 9136.

Thanks,

David

These trannys are under 70lbs, so you should be able to ship it under $90 by UPS or FedEx ground service!

Which should make it easier to cell ;)

Alright! Thanks for the tip. The last tranny I shipped was an AWD manual for a Subaru Outback and it definitely weighed more than this one.

As a point of reference, AWD DSM tranny is 130lbs! So this RWD tranny is very light!

I've shipped up to 150lbs via FedEx Ground. Needs to go to a business address. Try to ship it to where you or a friend works.

RX7 transmissions, although similar in size, are MUCH heavier than the Starion transmission. I Guess that means they're stronger right?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
