Re: ProjectZeroG Turns 15!
And just like that's 23 years! I can't remember the last time I saw an Eclipse (any gen) or a Starion in the wild. Probably haven't been to a junk yard in a decade and I miss those finds dearly. I'm comfortably in my mid 40s, all cars gone, and only a Sprinter van remains. I'll post about it on the ...

Re: Wiring Harness Service by DJpowerhaus
It's been over a decade since my last wiring harness so I'm no longer going to be offering this service. I just don't think I can remember everything.

WELCOME BACK! - Forum is back after 6 years!
In late December 2019 this forum was shut down after 6 months of really bad spam making it nearly unusable. Today it's back!
Forums like ours have been on my mind recently as I realized how so few still are used. In the last decade, nearly all forum traffic has been syphoned off by Facebook ...

You are correct in that the DSM harness will connect the ECU to the motor, but it does not hook into the chassis so that it gets power from the correct fused sources and the signals go to the right connectors for the gauges and warning lights to all function as if it were a stock swap.

Oh no. That old page has seen better days. I'll see what I can dig up next week.
Seems as though everyone is cutting up the 240SX crossmember and welding the brackets onto the SQ crossmember. I moved the control arm holes up and out to better line up with the geometry of the 240SX. From there you ...

94 Miata NA8 (1.8L) - Part Out
I bought this car 10 years ago when I realized that doing 4G63 swaps on Starions meant I needed a 2nd car. This car was completely unmodified so I could reliably get to work. It has been too. I put nearly 100,000 miles on it since I got it. Right now it sits at 195,000 miles, runs great, but ...

Junked the police car chassis, white chassis and stars and bar chassis back in the summer of 2011. Bought a rust free 87 a few days later and then started swapping all of the racecar parts over to it. Was supposed to be a few week swap. 4 years later I just took it for paint. Still needs to be tuned ...

I figured I'd finally give moving the sensor to the front a shot. I was inspired by someone else who had done it, but with a 4 tooth trigger and no home to worry about syncing. I'm setting up for my car with a megasquirt (DIYPNP) which allows me to log the trigger signals and make other adjustments ...

China makes half the stuff we use, including the good stuff. That said, I bet a Toyota transmission would outlast a Great Wall transmission. My hope is that they copied a decent Toyota transmission to the degree that you can bolt a legit Toyota part to the bellhousing.

Can't read most stuff I'm finding. I imagine the 4G64 and 4G69 stuff is different. One transmission looks to have a detachable bellhousing, the other seems integrated.

The hall effect sensors in the blacktop are pretty much the same sensors you'll find on a 95/96, just cast into plastic that can fit in a cam sensor mounted to the back of the head. The "crank" trigger is simply the 2 tooth 95/96 design doubled to make 4 teeth. Inside of that ring there is another ...

How did it get to be 2014? I was rolling pretty good at first. Bought a house July 2012 and work came to a dead stop. Finally, just this past week, I got around to finishing the DIYPNP and installed it in the car. Powers up fine, the sensors I have tested so far are working. Next step is to figure ...

Its hard to believe it but I started this website when I began my first swap over 15 years ago. At the time the 6 bolt 4G63 was already out of production for a decade. Now its been out of production for TWENTY YEARS! Its pretty crazy how much work we're doing to swap an engine platform that was ...

The 2.6 head will crack if you look at it funny. There are some decent aftermarket castings (AMC) that are not quite as bad. While I came here to defend the 2.6, I think that by the time you get a solid head together you could have done a swap.
Otherwise, the 2.6 is an awesome bottom end. It could ...
