Shaggy,

Are you familiar with the R154 at all? It can handle 600 hp easily. I don't know what your power goals are but don't knock it until you try it. What is the reason you do not want a Toyota tranny?

And also you guys gotta stop the you want this or that transmission. Your gonna have Bill ...

If this helps at all some of the newer manual tranny Chevy Colorado's and GMC Canyon's came with a more updated version of the R154. Since Spicer makes all of GM's driveline parts i'm sure they have one available direct from Spicer. I'll look into it a little more. Not sure what size they are.

He flipped the turbo around so it faces the opposite direction. The manifold is the stock 4g63 manifold. Since it's a tangential housing it moves it away when mounted like this.

I personally can't stand how it looks.

Yeah I must say I've seen quite a few all out purpose built racecars built at their own homes. You need to pay someone to make you a car for it to be considered a race car? That $40k difference is someone elses labor costs.

BTW By cutting the end plate off did that in turn shorten the bellhousing or did you make up for that loss?

Check out Supramania.com you should be able to find out what your looking for if you search.

I know there are 600+ hp MKIII Supra's out there running this transmission so in my opinion it should be fine.

If my measurements are correct the shifter location works out to be within a half an inch or so longer than the stock D50/MM transmission. Which in my opinion is better in this truck.

Carbon Fiber Plate/Sheet

Hey guys i'm looking for two sheets of rigid fiberglass core carbon fiber 18" x 36". Anyone have any idea where I can find/purchase such a piece? I searched around but can't find anything that big that is rigid.

And yes I am aware of the shortage so no need to touch base on that.

I've personally experienced what the R154 can handle behind a 7M in a Supra and I'd say you wouldn't need a stronger tranny. The synchros go bad after a while of heavy abuse but that's about it.

I don't think a non recirculated BOV would cause those symptoms. Non recirculated BOV would only effect between shifts. I honestly think it's not metering air correctly. Hard to say since i'm not there to see it but I think it's something with your MAF.

I wasn't aware you were doing this with the pilot bearing. Wasn't aware about the Toyota clutch either. Did you mention this earlier? Must've missed it. :?

You need to machine a pilot bearing into the flywheel to accept that input shaft. And you'll need to get a custom fwd DSM clutch disk with the R154 splines. Any clutch company should be able to do this easily without hassle.
