Wow, great contribution. Next time we will take your feelings into account when we fire another RWD 4G63 at 10:00 at night. That way we can arrange for some better video coverage in order to appease your tastes, because I assure you we were hesitant for that very reason.

What are you talking about. When I clicked on it there was this awesome swapped thing sliding around a Macy's parking lot.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

why is it when you say something that someone does not like, they get butt hurt. and no im not takeing a shot at you. just like when peregrine told some one its better to have a low hp car that runs instead of a car sitting for years waiting on money.
if you want you can look down on me for not finishing my project after two years. shit i have two 2.4 motors sitting on engine stands. but im am going to tell the truth. i should be banner from the site cause it is takeing to long for me to swap motors.
im not talking shit when i say your video sucks, sorry to be the one to tell you. but its the truth. i would love to see your car in macy parking lot cutting cookies, drifting, in car video. you know some thing cool.

For all of the people here whose eyes can't dialate, here is a pass 1/2 throttle through a couple of gears during the DAYTIME. We would have had an announcer and background music to please the entertainment buffs here, but due to last minute budget cuts we had to continue without those ammenities. Thats because we really just care about building cars/trucks as opposed to filming them  .

Enjoy

BTW John, listen close for the sound of tire spin while side stepping it at 4800 and you will be dissappointed. There is just the oh so gratifying sound of a motor bogging down as the truck lifts  . .

Oh, that explains everything  now I dont even need to know anything about his build, I guess you pretty much summed it up. By attention to detail what do you mean? Because I already know the more money you spend the better your vehicle HAS to be right?

Most people just drop in a 4g63 do the wiring and plumb it up and call it good. I'm focusing on cleanliness, attention to detail, and just quality work, nothing half assed.

Factory shortblock with a built head. Top mount tubular exhaust manifold with a FP Green perched on top. Custom front IC. ARP/Stainless hardware used throughout. I'm missing alot more but it'll all be running through DSMlink. Behind it will be a R154 (thanks to Bill Hincher) sending power through a custom aluminum driveshaft to the factory MM (LSD) rear end.

Suspension will be for now just some 2" lowering springs up front with some lowering blocks out back with all poly bushings throughout. I will convert to a 4 link with coilovers eventually. As far as brakes I have yet to look into it but I want to use Evo front brakes and convert to disc in the rear as well.

There will be a fuel cell mounted in the bed along with a Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator. All lines will be stainless steel braided or nylon braided with the black AN fittings with a few Jiffy Tite connections on the fuel lines and what not to make engine removal easier and quicker.

Interior is gutted of all it's sound deadening with 1g DSM seats. No heater/blower assembly. Custom gauge cluster with Autometer gauges integrated into the factory MM assembly. Body harness will be rewired with a Painless 12 circuit harness with a push button start. Quick release steering wheel. Lexan rear glass. Carbon fiber door panels. And it will be eventually caged.

Meanwhile it'll all be a satin black on black wheels with all the dents and character as it was when I found it in the junkyard. Except the frame has been cleaned, sealed and re-undercoated. Probably have a few suspension parts powdercoated as well.

I guess that's a rough idea of what i'm doing. I missed quite a bit i'm sure. But my attention to detail is my forte. 8)

Here it is the day I saved it from the crusher...

I remeber you lecturing me on how bullitproof it was, I remain skeptical. Of course, when you come by next time you can see where I ripped the trans mount off of the tailsection, and cracked all of the bell housing bolt holes. Time to come up with a real solution and still get to step off the clutch at 6000  .

shit you guys get off easy, this is the crap Matt throws at me after he delets my posts

[quote="mattmartindrift"]Look bill, I'm over it. Obviously you aren't if you want to debate, keep it to PM. That is why I deleted your post.

I love new ways of looking at things, new theories, new everything, if I didn't i'd be some crazy Christian thinking the world is 6,000 years old, evolution isn't real, and Jesus was white.

However, I like reason and REAL data supporting the great new ideas and theories. If reason and data were not needed, then the world would be flat, and the universe would orbit about us based on what engineers back in the day thought. So drop the bullshit seriously. I love new ideas, new everything, I don't like people who play on their computers and buy some software and think they own the world.

maybe he was an alter boy :D
