got my kelford 272 cams and aem cam gears today. Just need to get some new lifters and rockers and then the cylinder head will be done....

finally its all going! turned out when it was cranking all power was dropping to the sensors so had to change the set up around the ignition

Right so to start with i have an ex lancer with a 1995 rvr dohc turbo motor in it. i am running a megasquirt computer with it. the guy i bought it off had it tuned for this motor adding extra wire for the crank signal aswell.

im not sure atm ive been keen on the idea of a rwd colt, or if i were to keep it 4wd just build a drag or street early evo!

Id definatly run the engine turbo and work all the internals, but atm its all only an idea as im still doing my 4g63t rwd conversion!

Thanks guys. is there any diffrence in the actually engines running and HP compatibilitys in the wide and narrow blocks? or is it simply only diffrent for the diffrent types of transmission. from what i no it was in a 4wd van. so narrow block?

Hey guys im wondering about the 4g64. i can get my hands on one for next to nothing. its a sohc injected 4g64 non turbo. is this the only way these engines come out? or do they come out stock dohc? and turbo?

thanks. ive now got the sandwich adaptor. so i riped off the old cooler and went to install it. that screw showed in the picture screws directly onto the housing and then the adaptor slides onto the screws other half. but now there is no screw for the oil filter to bolt to? there is thread on the ...

hey guys i have a turbo rvr 4g63t block. its an evo 1- 3 shape. 7 bolt crank. can i use an evo 3 oil cooler or one similiar? it seems mine has a diffrent styled one which is cooled with water which is very small by the oil filter. if i can run one were would my in and out lines run from?

mines going pretty slow a bro costing abit to have my top mount td06 25g on there now doing intercooler piping and lines. were are you at now in your project?

you may do you will have to see and check the clutch disc size will match the pressure plate. like the evo one i had was 225mm, and starion was 215mm

evo flywheel should work, how ever you will have to change the ring gear what i did was got and engineer to put the starion ring gear on the evo fly wheel so it worked with the starter motor. you can then use an evo p plate and starion disc. or what i did was shave the flywheels face flat and used ...

hey man does your pressure plate spin freely in the gearbox housing? as i made my evo flywheel like the rwd flywheel by shaving the whole face flat cause i had heard it would not fit these gear boxes if using the evo flywheel and pressure plate

hey man i see it says your running a 2g cam sensor, which is on the front of the head right by the cam gears? if so it will be the same one as my project. are your aftermarket cam gears for this sensor? i havent seen any were i live to by for the front set up cause of the inlet gear being diffrent

ok i have now put in the new cams and have a link g2 ecu for evos 1 -3, while i was taking of one of the cam gears i accidently broke the cam sensor as part of it sits on the inside of the gears. checking my loom and comparing it to the evo loom i see that both cam and crank sensors are both in ...

i need a reliable diagram comparing these two cars wiring loom, i have a turbo rvr loom and motor but will have the motor ste up like an evo motor as im changing the head etc. both these engines have a 7 bolt crank, any help please???

yeah ive heard it has a detuned ecu etc. it is dohc and has 4g6# on the block, has the 7 bolt crank like the evo, and is the evo 1-3 shape. could i change cams and ecu directly to this? exhaust side is on right side, and inlet left. thanks [/img]
