I always thought it would be cool to instal the thermostat on the inlet side using a Toyota set up

Got a drawing of that one bill???

What about no thermostate and an just using a PWM Electric pump??? I'm pretty sure I've heard of a varible output contoler to do this.

Using a dual staged thermostate you can mount it at the inlet of the water pump and that allows more time for the coolant to stay in the radiator ( more efficiant cooling) plus it creates a 'dynamic' thermostate thatreacts to differnt cooling requirements as the engine changes temperature, instead of a more 'static' system with the front mounted thermostate

Fiat used an external thermostat similar to that toyota but larger hoses. It worked great by my account.

Bill could you explain the cooling system you posted some more? I I just picked up a toyota external thermostat and I been trying to figure out how I'm going to install it. I'm looking at your design too.
