No cam or crank signal?

Post by cordell »

Right so to start with i have an ex lancer with a 1995 rvr dohc turbo motor in it. i am running a megasquirt computer with it. the guy i bought it off had it tuned for this motor adding extra wire for the crank signal aswell.
This motor has seperate cam and crank sensors and runs at the front of the motor.
I had taken it down to the shop to get it wired up went to turn it over and wouldnt fire. he traced it to these two connections.

I was thinking at first it would be to do with the invert signal these sensors put out but im not sure, as he tested the signal wires to see if they were actually getting any signal but they werent? surley both of my sensors are not fucked its just to much of a convinience knowing it is only these two sensors

I'm going to be running two hall effect sensors on the front of my motor with a megasquirt. I'll do a little research on what the settings should be for this.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

I'm going to sell it. I just wanted to learn more about the megasquirt stuff. I feel that more people would benefit from what I post about it compared to the Autronic.
