Does any one know about the 4g6#t rvr engine?

i have a turbo rvr engine going into an ex lancer, and im hoping to get power out of it similiar to the evo engine, i need some info on what i could do to work it? change cams etc anything

This should also be a variant of the motors we are using. The best way to tell is to show us some pics, but as long as it's DOHC and has a 4Gxx stamped on the block, it should work. Which side of the car is the timing belt on? I'm guessing this engine has the timing belt on the left side (from inside the passenger compartment) and has a top mount intercooler stock. I believe these are the same as a Galant VR4. It should have a 14b turbo stock.

DSM/Galant VR stuff should work on this motor.

EVO stuff should work on this motor.

The major differences will likely be cam and ECU related. I would assume these motors to be detuned versions of what most of us are working with, but internally identical. Of course these are all assumptions.

yeah ive heard it has a detuned ecu etc. it is dohc and has 4g6# on the block, has the 7 bolt crank like the evo, and is the evo 1-3 shape. could i change cams and ecu directly to this? exhaust side is on right side, and inlet left. thanks [/img]
