Sounds like it could possibly be a locked up pilot bearing. I had one that was intermittently locking up on me that did the same thing, but I was able to force it to release by standing on the brakes.

Sounds like a tranny R+I is in your future.

^Wow, thanks for the link! That is awsome work. As far as the stock size wheels, I'm not sure if the OEM wheels (on the 2wd) were 8" or not, mine came with some nasty aftermarket wheels. Once I nail this down, I'll post up some pics so we have some frame of reference for others.

Can I ask ya where you picked up Caltracs at? I have some pretty serious wheel hop with the stock springs and an LSD. I hate the thought of something snapping so I tend to let off. If I could actually get on it without the axle tramp / wheelhop, I would be a happy camper :)

Just so you know... I had a walbro 255 in my talon and it went into the trucks tank perfectly, just like I was replacing the stock pump. Didn't have to change a thing.

Selecting the right turbo and cam combination will let you shift your powerband around somewhat. A t-25 or 14b on a 2.3 liter stroker engine would be fun! You would have no top end at all but the little 4g would feel like a v8.

Yeah it ended up I've got power to the red heater wire, for some reason I thought it would be cool to cut the ECU wire. lol. I don't know why I did that but I hooked it up and it STILL won't cycle. On top of that, it have me about 5 error codes. No big deal though, I'll figure it out.
