Re: Pilot bearing?
Sounds like it could possibly be a locked up pilot bearing. I had one that was intermittently locking up on me that did the same thing, but I was able to force it to release by standing on the brakes.
Sounds like a tranny R+I is in your future.
R+I? I'm not sure what that is? The tranny seems ...

Well its been a while since i posted so I figured an update was in order. I haven't really done anything major to write home about. I keep tuckng more wiring and just cleaning up the bay. Replaced the normal radiator hose clamps with some nicer t-bolt style clamps. Still learning dsmlink v3. Overall ...

mighty max guys...big tire question
Has anyone had any experience with diamondracingwheels.com? Im thinking about having them custom make some 15" wheels. I took some dimensions and came up with the following:
The front tires seem like a typical 8" rims with 3"-3.5" backspacing.
The rears are a little more interesting...im torn ...

I know the power steering pump locations are the same. I never had to touch the PS system, just bolted the mm pump to the new bracket. I never liked the stock alternator location. It had a hard life getting either fried from the exhaust or dripped on by a leaky PS pump. If you delete your A/C, you ...

Anyone have an ISC laying around? Mine is dead. I'll take the whole throttle body if needed.

Hey man. When you redid your CAS wiring, did you cut away the black plastic surrounding where the wiring goes in? im doing mine but struggling to figure out another way of getting to the terminals inside the CAS.

Still enjoying the seats??? Did they come with slides?? How do they fit your body, and what type of body (weight, height, build, etc.) do you have?
Yeah seats are great. They aren't too snug and are still easy to get in and out of. They did come with the slides. The only thing I don't like about ...

Clocking a mistu turbo is easy. All you need is a snap ring pliers and a dremel tool. The compressor housing is kept in its correct rotation just by a little tab looking dowel thing. Just grind it down and you can rotate it anyway you need. I really like OEM mitsu turbos. Can't get any more reliable ...

Got some new paint. Cyber gray off the new vets :) The painter sprayed the bed with some pretty tough liner. Has not been cut or detailed yet. There are a few dings that I noticed AFTER the paint job but I really don't want it to be perfect. It's a truck not a show car. Sure feels good to be driving ...

^Well from looking at page 2, I'd agree with what 4g63mightymax said about the wiring. All the assumption look correct. The only thing I'd caution you on is the purple plug. There are two plugs that are very similar. Mitsu was good about making their plugs keyed so you don't accidently hook up the ...

^lookin good! You were able to chop down the chasis wiring loom on the driver's side firewall way more than I was able to. Looks way clean. You keeping the battery in the engine bay? ^Seriously one of the nicest setups I've seen. Really man, that is so impressive! You may have stated your goals but I may have missed it. DD or drag only? What hp are you aiming for? Dang dude! Looks like a fun setup! If you are shooting for 500 hp, you might consider the R154 tranny instead of the W58. I have the W58 running a 16g in my truck. Its one of the smoothest shifting transmissions I've experienced. But, I've heard they are only good up to around 400 hp. But if you ...

Good job getting it rolling. Looks like all that's left is little details. Thanks for the heads-up on the RRE flanges. There's always stuff to clean up but I'm driving it. Drove it to work and got some strange faces. Put about 100 miles on it. The only complaint is the maft is doing some strange things. I can't seem to get my idle and low fuel trim dialed in. Also, I am having a problem with throttle tip in...it ...

Did some low boost pulls. So far everything is wokring great. Fuel trims are happy and the wideband is too. The mount on the front section of the seat doesn't sit level with the back. There is a hump that runs across. Gentleman Rouge's link shows it better. Anyways, this bump is just about an inch or so high. To get it to sit level, I just used 2 1x1 spacers in the ...
