O2 sensor wiring...

Post by boise-nic »

For some reason, my o2 sensor is not cycling. It's not doing anything at all. I traced the 4 wires and here is what I've found...

White (to ECU)
black (to ground)
black (to ground)
Red (dead but assuming its the power).

So my problem is the sensor is not getting power (for the heater circut?). Everything else is checks out fine...but for some reason, the harness side of the plug is not getting power. Does anyone know where the power it taken from? It looks like it is a bit thicker than the others so it might have some amperage behind it. I'm thinking about just tapping into an ignition hot switch from the MPI. I would guess this is where its suppose to tap into anyways.

Thanks!

Yeah it ended up I've got power to the red heater wire, for some reason I thought it would be cool to cut the ECU wire. lol. I don't know why I did that but I hooked it up and it STILL won't cycle. On top of that, it have me about 5 error codes. No big deal though, I'll figure it out.
