I just lengthened the actuator rod so that there was a small amount of preload on the WG. Worked fine when I had a 14b, then a 16g.

They are not that expensive. I sell them at my yard used for 1400.00. Besides, I likey the fast shifting low miles trans that can hold power vs the clunky 400,000 mile toyota one.

For all of you that are perhaps wondering what motor the intake came off of before I moved the flange, it was a 93 turbo eclipse. Hope that helps.

I know this thread is dead, but I finnally got motivated enough to start the mock up for the new intake. JMF built it off of my measurements, and it fits great. My only real problem is the interference with my clutch cable where it exits the firewall. Hopefully Mr bill will finish his T56 Bell soon ...

this trans is from a 96 Camaro. The 93 - 97 camaro LT1 T-56

Perfect, you finish it before I sell my junk and I will be happy to dragstrip "test" it :twisted: . I already have the six speed buddy, just whip up that bell.

Sounds stupid, but if your oil seal tube on that cylinder is leaking alot of oil on top of the plug you will get a higher reading in that hole. That noise you hear...not a good sign, it's bad bearings, so selling someone a swap kit w/ a noisy transmission probably is not a good idea ...

The only problem I had was input bearings. I'll probably be selling my D50 Transmission with slave cylinder, clutch, flywheel and extended driveshaft in a few weeks.

What happened to the bearings? How much power were you making? Did the trans see high RPM for an extended period of time in a low ...

mike averaged around 5 months on his w/ a stock 4g63 + evo3 16g @ 8psi spiking to 14. No real racing of any kind, and those transmissions were loud and garbage.

I really doubt it, those d50 transmissions are junk for any power. I'd like to see one take 400hp for more than 5 minutes.
