If I find a galant at the yard I'll pick one of those up since my radiator is higher. Although I do like to have the cap in back so I can fill the radiator to a certain point with the cap in back removed and thus letting air out. If that even really helps when filling, I'm not sure...

I was at the junk yard and noticed the SOHC engines have a different thermostat housing water outlet, one that would clear the firewall a lot better. So, I bought it and tried it out. I ran across that website about a week ago and thought it was a great idea. It seems like great stuff. But, there's no way I'm going to spend over $100 on coolant and then have to keep extra on hand because it can't be contaminated with other fluids. Not at this time.

The trick is to build a Megasquirt and wire it all up from scratch. As far as the starter, that's easy. I still haven't figured out how to connect the charging system yet.

I am planning to have the forward segment of the 2-piece driveshaft modified. Is it bad to have a slip yoke on each end of this one segment of driveshaft? I notice most of them have a slip yoke on one end and a plate with bolts on the other.

I ended up banging my first oil pan to the point where the top/mount surface isn't even flat any more... maybe I should use heat in the area that I'm working with.

I got my bellhousing mounted. I'm very happy with it. Definitely a solid, well made part. I will be doing a thorough write-up on clutch installation once I get all of the parts together.
