Yeah I got that. I guess what I'm asking is; is the pin and bore of the piston enlarged to make it press fit or is the bore of the small side of the rod smaller?
I need to replace a rod in my truck and I'm wondering if I can use a turbo 6 bolt rod with a sohc 8 valve piston and pin.

sohc rods
I noticed the sohc rods in my truck are pressed pin. Can I use a turbo 6 bolt rod (floating pin) to replace it?
I assume the small side diameter in the turbo rod is larger than the sohc rod.

Sorry shroder15, I was more getting at the original poster. The problem is more with the inlet side of things.
i assumed that it is common knowledge that the 1-3 evo is the same as dsm stuff and the evo 10 is a whole different engine family and quite different overall. Of course where your at you ...

Exhaust manifold:
Will it bolt up to the 1g head? I fell like I read into this before and it needs to be spaced out or the turbo will hit the block. I'm not finding a thread on it now though.
Intake manifold:
Can I swap a 1g flange onto the mani or are the ports too large? If so would I need to use ...

I'd be looking to do a turbo swap on it as I already have the more expensive parts laying around, other than the pistons. I've priced everything else I need and fab work etc. I should have no problem getting the swap done for 1500-2000 including buying the truck. I want a versatile dd that isn't a ...

Mighty good deal???
I looked at a Mighty Max today and wanted some opinions...
The good:
Its the original owners, it has <65k miles, macro cab, great shape, no dents other than the bumpers and great interior, good tires, etc. The bottom end spins freely.
The bad:
Blown head gasket, cracked the head between the valves ...
