I looked at a Mighty Max today and wanted some opinions...
The good:
Its the original owners, it has <65k miles, macro cab, great shape, no dents other than the bumpers and great interior, good tires, etc. The bottom end spins freely.
The bad:
Blown head gasket, cracked the head between the valves on 2 & 3, lot of rust in the cylinders but no scoring. All parts are in the truck still.
Also: I already have a 63 head, 2 intake mani's, throttle body, other misc parts.
Sooo, my ? is; What is this thing worth??
Mighty good deal???

It's worth scrap if he can't sell it to you. (maybe $200 at the junk yard) The MM isn't really in demand either. I'd offer no more than $500. You know you'll need a new motor already. Treat this deal as if you were buying a shell, cause that's basically what you've got without a working engine.
Do it in a Datsun!

I'd be looking to do a turbo swap on it as I already have the more expensive parts laying around, other than the pistons. I've priced everything else I need and fab work etc. I should have no problem getting the swap done for 1500-2000 including buying the truck. I want a versatile dd that isn't a bore so thats really what sparked my interest in this.
