sohc rods

I noticed the sohc rods in my truck are pressed pin. Can I use a turbo 6 bolt rod (floating pin) to replace it?

I assume the small side diameter in the turbo rod is larger than the sohc rod.

What pistons are you using? What type of pin do they require?

You can use floating pin rods as long as you have the groove for the retaining clips in the pistons, and you use the retaining clips!

Yeah I got that. I guess what I'm asking is; is the pin and bore of the piston enlarged to make it press fit or is the bore of the small side of the rod smaller?

I need to replace a rod in my truck and I'm wondering if I can use a turbo 6 bolt rod with a sohc 8 valve piston and pin.
