4G64 7-bolt question
I have in front of me two (2) 4g64 blocks one narrow 6-bolt and one wide 7-bolt. I notice that the narrow block isn't bridged or anything. But, the wide block has a girdle bolted to the mains/block. My question is: Wouldn't this block/main girdle make this block stronger and less likely to expirence ...

Which 6 bolt 2.4 block/crank is best for a hybrid build up?
I have a g4cs block but my engine builder said I'd I might as well build a 4g 2.0 or 2.3, if I can't find a 4g64 block. He doesn't think the g4cs block/crank is strong enough for a 550-700hp in a street/strip setup. He also swears by oil squirters and says the g4cs doesn't have provisions for them ...
