I was in the yard the other day and ran across these (2) pickups.
1. 1992 Dodge D50
production date 7/92
engine: 2.4 4g64
trans: 5 spd code-R5M21 3909
2. 1987 Mitsubishi pick up
production date 12/86
engine: 2.0 4g63
trans : Auto code-AW372 3909
Which one of these is a wideblock or a narrowlock?

7/92 is a wideblock, but also supposed to be 7 bolt... 6 bolt stopped in 5/92, but i would check it out just to make sure. 12/86 auto 2.0l could be a narrowblock or wideblock. I don't know anyone familiar with the auto transmissions to say for sure, so the best way to tell is to measure the 2 lower bellhousing bolts. 12.25" = narrow block. 13.25" = wideblock

It didnt switch over in 92, it switched over mid 93. That 92 should be a wideblock 6 bolt. I always heard that the 2.0L Autos were wideblocks. Manuals were narrow. I'd check both out. Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
