Hmm. People aren't very active on here anymore. I figured out the issue. The "sense" wire needs to be attached to the charging side of the circuit instead of directly to the battery as I had initially set it up. Simple issue. It was drawing nearly 4 amps while sitting.

Never mind. The water pump/alternator belt came off. I didn't use lock-tight on my Jay Racing alternator bracket. I left it off for mock up and never put it on right. It should be good to go. Hopefully I"ll get some running time with it tomorrow.

There are 2 power wires from the ignition. One is for run, BW, and the other is for start, BY. I believe you're talking about the BY wire that goes to the starter solenoid. I believe it does cut power to that part of the relay, but I still can't figure out why it doesn't work.

My next thought is the MPI relay isn't functioning correctly. I do get it to trigger on one half. I have constant power and a good ground. When it receives ignition power, it does trigger the ECU to go to ground and send power to the sensors.

I'm back! Just moved into a new place with a garage a month ago and getting things set up. Updates WILL be coming soon. Wiring is the first order of business. It's been 2 years without my car. I will have this thing on the road by the end of summer barring any major disasters.

Yes, a 2.1L is a 4G64 block with 4G63 crank. (2.4L block/2.0L crank) There is a stamped number on the block just under the water pipe near the water pump. If it's a 2.4L block it will be stamped as 4G64.

But if the guy is saying VR4, then it's likely a 2.0L JDM or USDM Galant motor. Those were only ...

The bolt hole on the trans that doesn't line up is probably due to the 7 bolt vs 6 bolt components. 2G motors moved their motor mounts to the transmission, so there was a little more on the bell housing portion.

I personally think the front end looks to long and "heavy". Maybe you can move that grill back toward the motor more and possibly section it to be smaller. I know it's a lot more work, but I think it will look much better.
