FS: Parts from an aborted project...

I've aborted my project, so most of this needs to go.

Brand new Fidanza Starion flywheel - their lightest one, I forget, ~10 lbs? - $275 shipped
Brand new ACT 13BT T2 clutch - Xtreme PP + 6 puck unsprung - $375 shipped

I think that's all the big parts I got.

Make offers, I'll make you a deal if ...

Yeah, the low production volume stuff is always expensive to make up for R&D time. My RX-7 clutch kit was $275 for the xtreme + unsprung 6-puck off eBay.

Did you use an FD transmission?

I haven't lined it up yet, but it's a pretty large discrepancy. Unless you had the bellhousing spacer, you'd have to have a short pilot bearing and a super thin flywheel, otherwise the clutch disc wouldn't be fully engaging all it's teeth.

Just to add a little information to this thread. I bought an FD transmission, and this is the input shaft. It's about 6" long measured from the transmission, or 5 and 7/8's measured from the machined base of the shaft.

Project FD w/ a way-too-big turbo.

I figured I'd post this up here so you guys could critique me and tear me apart before I got myself too deep into trouble. :)

So I bought and FD shell w/ a blown motor

TRADE! My 4G64 crank for your 4G63 crank

Who wouldn't want to stroke their motor?

Well, me, because I'm stupid. So you should trade me.

FD vs. FC transmission...

Some people say they're interchangeable, some say not.

Exedy says the input shaft of the FD trans is 23 teeth, 26.4mm in diameter while the FC trans is 23 teeth, 26.2mm in diameter.

ACT lists the same part number for both transmissions.

WTB: 4G63 crank, 1000cc+ injectors, etc.

I'll just keep editing this thread since I keep finding the stuff elsewhere before anything happens on this thread. :)

I need:

6-bolt crank
1000+cc injectors
Bearings (main and rod)
ARP head + main studs and rod bolts

Re: 2g DSM parts swap info

I just purchased a 2G head with Web Cam 272's for my 6-bolt wideblock. Yards are asking too much for 2G wideblocks around me, so I went with a '90 shortblock for $100. I wanted the 2G head for port velocity, and also because I'm thinking about adapting an EVO VIII manifold, which has slightly ...

So is there anything holding the bellhousing on other than those 10 bolts? I'm having all sorts of trouble tryin' to get it off. Do these transmissions have a circlip holding in the input shaft bearing?

Is there a pulley we can use so it uses the OEM power steering pulley? MR2 electric power steering pumps aren't too expensive...and then you can mount it wherever you want.

4G64 destroker

Hey all. I hail over from Ziptied...some of you might have seen my thread about looking into a 4G63 w/ a B2600 bellhousing into an FD. Sorry if some of these questions are repeated, I just found you guys. I'm pickin' up an FD this weekend, and hopefully I'll be finding a B2600 bellhousing soon.

So ...
