Bill : i can unbolt the radiator and move it so the filler neck is pointing up. That was the main reason i went with rubber hoses instead of hard lines to the radiator.

You will need to connect pin 1 and 2 on the ecu harness (white and yellow wires) to the corresponding wires on the diag plug. There will be a black plug on the diag plug that needs to be grounded as well. Three wires total will need to be connected at the plug. I will look at the plug on my d50 to ...

Dave, just go to the yards and pics up the diagnostic plug and wire that up to the ecu, it only takes three wires, and it would be plug and play then.

That plug is on another harness isnt it? - I still need to know what wires go were. ( i think i may have the plug, i need to hunt thru the ...

There Cutting brakes. ( turning brakes ) they allow you to brake 1 or the other rear wheel to aid in turning.

Ok guys - whos using a data logger of there "custom" engine harness?

If this is the only harness you have, then you dont have the factory Data Port. Anyone know what wires go were on the logger cable? ( i want to hard wire one ) I have the Self-Diagnosis Output Wire and Diagnosis/Data Transfer wire ...

I just took a look at the harness i got. One wire i got is in fact black with a white stripe, the other is solid white and a heavyer gauge then the black&white one.

2 questions... Do you see any reason that i cant omit the dash light? ( no need for it on a sand rail )

and.. how do i determin what wire is "L" and what one is "S" on the alternator??

in stead of the cam gear 95-96 sensor type you can also go the 97-99 cam sensor witch goes in the the same place as the 1g cas but it is much smaller and there is no adjustmend to it. the onlything you have to do is drill and tap the end of the cam. they are also smaller so no need to adjust the ...

What do i need to make a 1g alternator work in my sandrail project?
I have a plug i can cut out of a harness. I know i need the large wire that goes from the post to the battery but what other wires?

Any thoughts ?

Electricly speaking it should run now -
Im still missing a fuel pump/AN lines/coolant lines/exhaust/knock sensor,maft isnt hooked up yet,o2 sensor so i cant start it yet.

Welp - ive got no voltage out of the CEL circut. Prob a sign of a fryed ECU ? Ive got a friend with a 1g that im hopping to test the ECU/ in his car.

hmmm.. im not sure what else to say.
With the ECU and MPI both plugged into the harness. If i apply +12v to pin 10 the only way to get the MPI to function is to ground pin8

sux - ive got 2 MPI relays and i think there both fryed -
I dont get any voltage back out of it when applying juice to the +12V pins. (both constant and switched)

Ive got access to a few more i can test.

He simply needs to know what wires on the harness ne constant 12v/switch 12v, starter signals, grounds, etc.

I could think you at least need the proper conntectors for your Injestors,CAS,what ever air meter you use,what ever throttle body you use,Spark solution. If all that adds up to all stock 1g parts then it would seem like the easyest would be to start with a stock engine harness.

do you see the differance between my plugs and the ones you posted? I dont have the same number of pins so the pin #'s are useless. Thats why i figured wire colors may match up.

Pin 103 is my main prob i think. I know i can just splice into it @ the ECU but i would rather get it from the plug if i can.
