Diag / Data Log Port
Ok guys - whos using a data logger of there "custom" engine harness?
If this is the only harness you have, then you dont have the factory Data Port. Anyone know what wires go were on the logger cable? ( i want to hard wire one ) I have the Self-Diagnosis Output Wire and Diagnosis/Data Transfer wire still not hooked to anything.
Thanks all !

i also am not sure if you need to ground somthing to make the ECU go into datalog mode?

That plug is on another harness isnt it? - I still need to know what wires go were. ( i think i may have the plug, i need to hunt thru the spaghetti of wire i have)89coltgt wrote:Dave, just go to the yards and pics up the diagnostic plug and wire that up to the ecu, it only takes three wires, and it would be plug and play then.

You will need to connect pin 1 and 2 on the ecu harness (white and yellow wires) to the corresponding wires on the diag plug. There will be a black plug on the diag plug that needs to be grounded as well. Three wires total will need to be connected at the plug. I will look at the plug on my d50 to see if there were any unused wires left.Dave99gst wrote:That plug is on another harness isnt it? - I still need to know what wires go were. That would be the correct plug. Mine only has the three wires on it, this is what you need to hook up, looking into the plug, the side that will plug into the datalogger cable(dashes represent unused slots in plug:
- - x x - - Y
B - W - - - -
The black wire will be grounded, and the white and yellow wires will connect to the diag and data transfer wires on the ecu plug with the same corresponding colors.
