Just looked at the trans. The end of the input shaft does not go past the bell housing.

BTW looks like a nice project that you have. I will be keeping an eye on it.

Sorry I haven't got to measuring this up yet. I turned 30 this past weekend and haven't had much time to do much other than party

I will see if I can get to it this evening.

I have every thing bolted up. Although I don't have the crank in the block. so I can't really tell if it stacks up yet (input shaft to crank). I could possibly take it apart and measure it though. Would a tape measure be good enough. I don't have any precision measuring tools at home.

I think that box weighed at least 100lbs. LOL

Now I have all the parts that I took out of the car in it. Great for storage, but I am sure I paid for it through shipping charges.

Just received everything. Seems that it all arrived in good shape.

I was thinking about dry sumps for another motor I was building. I came across these guys and they seem to have some trick stuff. They show some pretty good pics of their pans.

Would you care to go into a little more detail on your dry sump plans?

Only thing I havent heard mention of or see are the main caps for the crank?

I have cad software and a oil pan. Mike do you still want to get some of those flanges made? I could draw up the flange fairly quick.

What are your plans for heat shielding on the brake booster?

Since we are talking about cooling them. Are not most ball bearing turbos cooled with water and oil, were journal bearing turbos are just oil cooled. I know with Garret's line of turbos, it's that way. If the turbo as a R at the end ...

I am a noob when it comes to this swap, even the 4G is new to me. But I have been reading through this forum quite a bit this past month. Now that I have that out of the way.

Were do you get the coolant for the turbo?

Maybe an adapter can me made to feed the turbo from the back of the block? This ...

Can I asume that the block and crank are the top ones in both of those pics? Looks good, if so.

I will need a good block/internals when I complete the swap. might as well start of with what I will finish with.

I am looking for a 6 bolt wide block 4g64.

I really only need it for mock up at the moment.

I will be using this to mate to a Mazda B2600 bell housing/RX7 TII trans.
