Ok so just curious one of your other pic showed the factory pistons in the engine so will the 8v factory piston work with the dohc I am hoping they will any info would be great I am not wanting to turbo my 4g64 engine just wanting my Montero to be more reliable than the g54 and the more compression ...

Your stock km132 won't bolt up to the last gen 4g63 block, it will bolt up to the first and second gen blocks but you need to determine if you have what is called a narrow or wide engine to transmission bolt pattern

Nice, we've done evos that make over 500 hp@ the wheels with e85 on a green so a red is over kill for the power you want. But if a little's good a lot must be better :)
Also maybe i missed it but why run ms? an evo 8 ecu would do the trick quite well.

I guess the problem would be you would have the evo exhaust cam for your intake if they fit in the head.


that makes no sense, if they fit you would put them in the correct spots, but from what I understand they don't fit.
The evo motor is no different in rotation than the early 63, they both ...

I used the mm 2.0 pump, I took the 1g pulley and modified it in a press to line up. Worked great but I was only running an alternator.

From my experience running this setup you need the clutch slave to not be side loaded at any point in it's travel as it will evetualy caues the o-ring to bind and fail. Meaning you will lose clutch function and have to pull the slave apart and repair it. But you might have figured that out already.

^wrong... 2.0 trucks are narrow. I used a km132 out of an 86 mighty max on my 4G project, so I guess the answer is yes.

Thanks for the comments guys, the injector/block color combo was a complete accident I didn't realize the injectors matched the color I chose for the block until after I started to reasemble the engine. The car is leaning towards being painted Honda championship white.

Well got my flywheel back from the machine shop. They enlarged the center bore to fit the throwout bearing for the trans input shaft.
