I know a 87-88 2.0 transmission will work on a 4g63 swap, but is the 86 D50 2.0 transmission is narrow.

^wrong... 2.0 trucks are narrow. I used a km132 out of an 86 mighty max on my 4G project, so I guess the answer is yes.

yes 86 maybe 87 and down 2.0 5spd rwd are narrow block bolt pattern. thats what i have on my narrow 4g.
88 conquest 4g63 now sporting a crankwalked boat anchor
