What about engines that weren't turbo from factory?

Would you put oil squirters in a LS1 if you were prepping it for a turbo? would it really be worth it?

Seems like forged internals would be good enough, and im pretty sure there's quite a few turboed engines out there without oil squirters racing ...

sorry coltboostin, this is a pretty old thread i revived here, i dont know if you'll get a response from him

interestingly enough apparently the automatic trannies from 2.0 liter narrowblock engines is a baby dodge a904 automatic transmission, but with a bellhousing for the narrow-block 4g engines

anybody else have any info on these automatic transmissions?

they were used on ram50 d50 mightymax trucks ...

Any Ram50/D-50/Mighty Max would work but its easiest to start with
one that has a G63B, 4G63, or a narrow block 4G64

also, a twin turbo 6G72 from a stealth or a 3000GT would bolt up to a V6 tranny from a Ram50/D50/MightyMax, you'd need the motor mounts from the V6 truck engine

I tried using an electric pump from an 84 nissan, but it didn't work and the next day i found a replacement mechanical pump so i wasn't too worried about it

If i buy the weber carb conversion for my truck will i have to run an electric pump? or can i use my mechanical with it? its a bigger carb so ...

I told the guy who i bought the truck from i was thinkin about droppin a 283 or 327 and he was like WTF are you thinking??? its a DODGE!!! so then he pulls out all these articles about small block conversions, i have yet to talk to him about the 4G63T ...

I want to go the same route as you, drop the 4G63T in and leave it stock for a while, but that wont last long cuz i got a need for speed, and the lightwieght little D50 seems perfect for goin fast (maybe not safely but who cares!!! :D)

Nope its a SOHC 4G63, but apparently its a very rare engine

I also heard that an A-904 dodge auto transmission bolts right in with the crossmember from an automatic D50, maybe i could get a machine shop to make an adapter plate for that? i dont know alot about DSM's or transmissions, but i think it'd be a hell of alot stronger than any 5 spd or 4spd that ...

You could do that, but im really interested in the 3.0 liter SOHC v-6 tranny from a D50, and i could be wrong but i think yours is an awd tranny right?

but seriously though, an awd twin-turbo D50 would look awesome lighting up all 4 tires!!!!!!

i've done some reading and you could get a V-6 in the d50 and it has the same engine code as the dohc twin-turbo V-6 in the Dodge Stealth R/T and 3000GT

I have a 1984 Dogde D50 with a canadian-spec 2.0 liter 4G63 sohc engine backed by a standard 4 spd transmission

Would it be possible to swap a 4G63T DOHC head onto my engine without doing a whole swap? or would it be more worth my time to get an entire 4G63T and swap it in?
