I'm taking a wire straight from the tach signal at the ecu to the back of the cluster labled "ig-" that all of the MPI guys are using when they have tach problems. When I had my SDS in the car I ran it from the SDS ECU to the wire that used to hook up to the stock coil and that worked flawlessly. I ...

Finally started....but cannot get tach working!

Hey guys, long time no see! Should have some videos up of mine in a few weeks from the next race.

Anyways, just finally got to drive my car for the first time in 2 years Thursday night. Everything is well except the tach. I've got a maf t gen 2 wired in @ the ecu and it reads the tach flawlessly. I ...

I drove my old DSM and it broke all 4 loose in 2nd from a roll (in the rain), needless to say its not for sale anymore, changed my mind again. However, I did get all timing components, oil pan and front cover donated to me from a friend to keep going with the swap. Damn him! Someone already ...

FS: 4g64, wiseco pistons, hbeam rods, hks cams, rx7 trans

Got a wideblock 4G64, Wiseco forged pistons, Eagle H-beam rods and HKS 272/272 cams for sale. Also have 2 heads, one is stock, one is midly ported and 1mm oversized valves. Not sure if I want to sell the heads or not at this point. RX7 turbo II trans w/ b2600 bellhousing if you want to go that route ...

RX7 trans....issues w/ pics.

Ok, got my plates built, motor is 2" forward and tonight was going to build the trans mount, only a few issues. Even with the block 2" forward I'm still going to have to cut my shifter hole out about 1.5" back. Also, the trans is at a huge angle because of the bellhousing and it pulls the engine ...

Yea, I'm going to have it turned and hopefully nothing else is damaged. Willing to take $250+ the shipping? I'm sure it'll be more than $50 to turn it, so that is fair in my eyes. Just let me know. When do you think you'll have time to crate it up and actually get it to the air port?

Thats not bad at all, except if I had to pay $120 then still drive to Bham. Bham is the closest "Big city" to me. Huntsville is 300,000 though, but they don't ship to our air port? As far as big air ports here, there would be Montgomery, Birmingham, Mobile, and Huntsville I'd imagine.

I was so excited I wasn't thinking deeply about it. Only reason we'd use the bellhousing from the mazda that bolted up to the mitsubishi is now obvious, the bellhousing unbolts for the mazda shit, but the mitsu shit doesn't. Just wasn't thinking clearly. ;)

So does our transmissions bolt straight up to the wideblock and people are doing the rx7 tranny because its stronger, or am I wrong and the only way to do a wideblock is to use the rx7 tranny?

I've got a salvage yard right down from my neighborhood full of mitsus! I'm sure finding a 4g64 wideblock won't be hard but what is involved with fitting the dohc head on it? And the G63B...whats involved in putting the 4g63 head on?

I'm parting out my MPI set up because I'm sick of this engine! I ...
