If your using a 2G style head you can also use a (modified) evo manifold
That clears the stock booster like it was made for it.

Personally i would not use any restrictions on the oil return from the turbo.

More pressure in the oil return = more risk of oil leaking past the turbo shaft seal.

You could just try to circulate oil that is already in the oil pan, but i don't think it's worth the trouble & just results in more ...

And there are various webshops that also sell them.

Should've been easy to obtain..

radiator normally only sees around 1 bar

oil cooler on the pressure side can see 8 bar

I only have experience with a Starion speed sensor(the one in the instrument cluster), and that works..

If the tacho of a d50 is the similar to a Starion tacho then that can also be made to work by modifying the input circuit of the tacho.

+12v , ground and signal.

check out the pin out of the ecu you intend to use to know what wire you want.(diagnostics)

You can use modified evo 8 intake manifold if you use a 2G head

a stock evo 8-9 exhaust manifold & turbo can be used with an additional exhaust flange as a spacer.
But the alternator would probably be in the way and moving it could cause a problem if you want to keep A/C

You wil have to atleast add a spacer.. or the turbo will not fit.

There is a bulge for a balance shaft in the way that in the evo is on the other side.
(remember the evo head has it's intake & exhaust swapped)

But with a thick flange, 2 gaskets and longer headstuds it should all fit.

And keep in ...

I don't know the actual wires (look at the evo ecu pinout to find the right wire)

But you need to connect at least IGN power and battery power.
And the startermotor wire to the ecu is needed to be able to actually start (as that turns on the fuelpump relay etc)

Be sure to get the right ign on ...

With DSMlink you can even make 1250cc's pass emmissions and let it idle like a stock motor.
I tuned some Bluemax 1250cc's for a friend of mine on his Gt35 powered 2G GSX
Puts out 580 whp and still passes emmisions and has a nice smooth idle.

on the Evo engine the intake and exhaust are swapped compared to the dsm.

And the whole engine is then turned 180 degrees.

So if you would take a evo exhaust cam and place it in the same location in the dsm head.. it would be on the intake side..

But I don't have a evo head to compare the details.

I guess the problem would be you would have the evo exhaust cam for your intake if they fit in the head.

I dont know if you just can just swap them, might actually work..

Personally I don't like using the high voltage as an input signal.

Your loom has 2 plugs with 3 wires each
each has +5v ,ground and signal
One plug is crank signal, the other cam.

The evo 3 cam angle sensor plug has 4 wires
2 signal, 5v and ground
And has both cam & crank signal

If your lucky enough the wire colours match..

and maybe this'll help: (just googled ...

It's not required, some cut it out on JDM ecu's to get rid of the 180km/h speed limiter.

But on some ecu's it will throw a code.
Can also be that the engine does not behave as nice on decelleration (since it can't tell if it needs to idle or your still moving)

I'd use the Evo cam sensor, because if the link ecu was intended fro a evo it might not like the inverted signal.
And makes it easier to use aftermarket cam wheels as well.

Actually the RVR (and 95-96 eclipse) use a inverted cam signal.
So if you use a EVO ecu you need to compensate for that fact.
And swapping the cables will do that for you. (you actually have 2 coils that fire 2 cylinders each, you are actually swapping the coils)

You could also swap the input wires ...

You can use the evo 3 ecu with the rvr loom
To do so you may have to swap some wires for the fuel pump relay and conditioner (those are swapped) and maybe the radiator fans as well.

The evo cams are better, and you also need the evo injectors (510's)

You can run it with the RVR CAS, but then you ...

As far as I know/tested they all use the same type of signal.

The only oddball being the '89-'90 model (and it should also work with this ecu, just use a different signal such as the cam signal)

HOWTO: Starion Tacho Mod

When you swap a DOHC 4g63 into the Starion and wire up all the electrics you will notice that the tacho doesn't work..

You can fix that using the '90 eclipse module.
But you can also just mod the tacho itself so it accepts the tacho signal from the ecu.

I am using this mod myself using a evo 8 ecu ...
