EVO intake?
Would the EVO intake help simplify some modifications? The throttle body is on the right side I believe. Has anyone used one for the 4g63 swap into a starquest?

VR4 is the same as the 1G DSM intake, right? In that case the throttle body is pointing towards the back of the engine and should be modified to face forward for RWD configurations. Or you could run your IC piping into the cockpit.. I've seen it before on crazy RWD drag DSMs (for example Slowboy's car)
I'd have to see the gaskets compared between the Evo and 1G before I could draw any conclusions. Where is the EGR port on the Evo?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
