4G64 into EVO 2
After having great success (300whp) with my single cam 4G64 l300 van I have decided to build a 64 for my evo 2. I am from Newzealand and the majority of 4G64 narrow blocks came from the Mitsubishi Chariot. I am having trouble finding an early one that has the engine layout the same as the evo. Is it possible to use the later model one (1996-00 Gasoline Direct Injection) where the engine is mounted 180'degrees? I plan on using an early VR4 galant or evo 1,2 head. will the provisions for the front mount (Timing cover) still be the same? any help would be appreciated.

Why don't you simply use a 64 crank in your 63 block ????????????caged wrote:After having great success (300whp) with my single cam 4G64 l300 van I have decided to build a 64 for my evo 2.
