Ok so I am officially fed up with my g54b in my quest. I've decided to gather parts for the swap. I have a few questions that I have not seen answered.
1. If i use the 4g64 wideblock, can I use the 4g63 crankshaft since it is more available?
2. If i use the 4g63 crankshaft what piston and rods combination must i use. I'm trying to do this cheap, but reliable.
I am planning on putting a DOHC head on my 4g64 block with the 4g63 turbo internals. I don't care about horsepower, I want revs and reliability. My G54b is not running right at all so out with the old, in with the rebuilt.
Thank you guys for the help.

Eagle rods and wiseco piston, check out different sites there are some ripper deals out there!! which ever combo you go for these two manufacturers tailor to it off the shelf. Wisecos they are an offset piston and very quiet when cold, bore them to the piston spec +.0005 and set the rings to: top ring .019, second to .024. have fun!

The 2.4 uses the same rods as the 2.0 which are 150mm.
Slowboy has the following Piston / Rod sets:
$1063.00 - 2.1L DSM Manley and Wiseco Piston Combo
$762.99 - 2.4L DSM Eagle and Wiseco Piston Combo
Or you can just use stock rods with your 2.4 or 2.0
but then again you just IMed me mid post... so... whatever.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
