AFTERMARKET FMIC STARION

Post by Xharlequinx »

Does anyone know from experience, the measurements or just an ebay link for an aftermarket front mount intercooler that would fit on a starion?
Thanks.

I used an aftermarket evo 4-6 bar and plate one, that just needed custom brackets welding on but fits nice between the frame rails.
Sorry dont have any better pics of the actual mounting

Thanks so much! this helps a bunch. I can at least benchmark off the measurements for that fmic core to fit something in. I just dont know if 31" x 12" x 3" for overall size ( 23" x 12" x 3" for just the core) will be small enough to fit.
is that evo 4-6 bigger overall?

I was able to use a 24x12x3" core IC for both mine and Craig's swaps. You can pretty easily do IC pipes without cutting up the car other than removing the battery and a few brackets. Could possibly go with a 4" core, but I couldn't find any when I was looking for parts.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
