Engine Bay Measurements

Post by AustinTSI »

So I found this picture here on Project Zero G but I can't seem to find the measurements that go with it. I think this is something a lot of people would like to have (and I need them also).

The only modification should be G which measure pillar to the master cylinder.

So how about we add G2 which will be pillar to pillar.

What I have found so far is:
* intake manifold surface of DOHC 4g64 head to the pillar is 12"
* DOHC 4g64 head width is 7.5" intake to exhaust manifold surface
* center line of DOHC 4g64 head to outside edge of 1G intake manifold is 14.5"

I remember it was on the old site which is still available in the archives (See the FAQ)

I'm doing another swap this fall so I'll try to document everything better this time around and update the site... maybe even a few how tos.

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.
