Evo head on 1G bottom end-

Post by coltboostin »

For the project-it would be very beneficial to have the exhaust and intake switched. I believe Tym did it a few years ago in his white evo, but he is calling me back on that. Otherwise-anyone do it? Does it work on paper? It does in my eyes-and I don’t mind being a pioneer if I have to be!

Evidently-no such book exisit!

I did some homeork-mesurements. Physically, it will fit-I can make it work, but the coolent passage differences will be a HUGE issue! F it for now.

The same fun can be had with an Evo bottom end as a 1G bottom end. Why not just swap a long block? Does Bill have an Evo billhousing yet?

Getting the engine bolted in is about 10% of the way there.
The next 80% can go quickly with help and skill.
That last 10% takes about as long as the 90% that came before it.

go with a second gen 4G64 narrow block, its the eact same thing as the EVO block but undrilled oil return hole, the block is 10 mm taller and will accept taller rods and an EVO head

So-your saying a Spyder, Galant, Outlander block?

Is a 2G DSM block the same?
