This is measured based off the original bellhosuings correct?
any chance of altering the diagram to reflect bills bellhousings attached?

I purchased the w55 housing, but want to make sure we make the appropriate space and cuts to allow for the r154 once I toast the w58.

Bill,

Would you be able to take a measurement of a D50/Starion KM132 transmission from the bell housing to the shifter? I just want to see if I'm gonna need this sort of a shifter extension. If anyone else has one of these trans lying around and sees this and wouldn't mind taking a quick measurement it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I make 4 different style bellhousings for the 4G63 narrow block

The W series trans is a non turbo Toyota 5 speed trans thats inexpensive, light and strong, I designed this unit to re-use all the clutch controls ( clutch fork, pivot ball, throw out bearing and holder) from the donating Toyota trans . I originally designed this to use the FWD flywheel, but all the guys wanted to use the AWD flywheel because clutch parts were more available so I went with AWD on all my new designs. All my housings re-use the original Mits AWD starter and pressure plate This bellhousing sells for $275.00 and includes the slave cylinder and pilot bearing bushing, the standard Toyota disc is available for $75.00
The R 154 series Toyota trans is a turbocharged 6 cylinder high strength model that will with stand just about anything the 4G can dish out. This bellhousing is designed to use all the clutch controls from the Mitsubishi 4G63 transmission ( clutch fork and pivot ball) so there is no need to source custom parts. It required a new throw out bearing and collar ( supplied with kit) and the input shaft has to be trimmed down but it was worth the extra effort, This design also uses the standard Mitsubishi AWD flywheel and starter, that sells for $450.00 and includes the slave cylinder, pilot bearing and bushing , throw out bearing and collar, the standard Toyota disc disc is available for $75.00
The T 56 6 speed was a bitch! but I built that too, It requires a new throw out bearing collar and bearing, a transmission input shaft cover,2 seperator plates , a slave cilinder, a pilot bearing and bushing and a custom built disc. It still re-uses the AWD flywheel/starter and pressure plate but this uses a custom disc. The T 56 sells for $550.00 plus $150.00 for the disc ut the guys have loved it!
I built the GM automatic trans adaptor for the drag race guys, it uses a hardened crankshaft coupler, a cast aluminum adaptor plate , starter gear and flex plate bolts. This adaptor uses all the parts from a small block Chevy from my coupler back through the power glide/350/400 turbo trans, it uses Chevy over the counter torque convertors and flywheels and a reduction starter from a toyota with my custom made pinion gear , I been selling these for $325.00
the flywheel centers and all my designs are all machined out to 30 mm, I will be glad to do that free of charge for anyone that cant get that done, just pay shipping

take a look at this article on suitable donors for transmissions

I second this request, I am in the planning stages of my project and this would help in my decision.

Thanks,

Sorry I should have clarified, when attached to your narrowblock billhousing. From where it mates to the block to the shifter location. Thanks Bill!

Thanks for the measurement Bill! So it looks like I'm going to need a 3" shifter extension at the very least!

I have the details for the shifter worked out, but I needed to rebuild my R 154 wide block pattern bellhousing and built 10 of the w series housings before I have a chance to revisit with it, I just got my tax work done so I will have more time
