Good luck pulling "just the engine harness".

Its all integrated, you should know that you will have to pull almost every wire in the front of the car out. I have done this many times.

In case you decide to cut them get(off the top of my head, I am at work):

Injector harness wires
Wire for ...

You need adjustable cam gears to properly degree in the cams. You need them for both intake and exhaust assuming you have aftermarket cams. There are few cams that come as advertised and I assure you they are not under 500usd a set.

You use any year evo crank/rods/pistons in any year dsm 7 bolt as long as you use the correct main bearings in respect to the block the internals are going in.

Evo 1-3 7 bolts were identical to their dsm counter parts. You can put an evo 1-3 motor in any year dsm that came with a turbo motor ...

Anyone else have some thoughts on this?

Sounds like he wants to just put the head on the motor thats in the truck. Since that will work, nothing else mechanically should be an issue.

Which timing belt would you use? Still use the stock belt on the mighty max or a 4g63 belt?

I'd also like to add I want to keep the stock front suspension configuration, it doesnt need to be changed because it is already double wishbone unlike the 1st gen eclipses. Mustang 2 suspension would be sick in a 1g.

I dont want it to be strictly for drag, I wanted to put in a 6l90 6 speed a/t for some autocross capability but powerglides are stupid cheap so it looks like its going to be a drag strip queen. I'm still going to focused on making it handle as well as possible. Dont really like manuals, 900 dollar ...
