You will just need the engine harness, when you hook it up into the carbed lancer, it will be treated as it's own system and will only have a few wires connected to the chassis. There is some info on here, me and Jeremy(4g63mightymax) are also working on gathering up some info as well, we corrently do not have any posted as of now.4G638U wrote:HEY IM FROM NEW ZEALAND AND IM DOING A ENGINE CONVERSION, 4G63 DOHC N/A INTO A 1980 EX LANCER 1600 CARBY. Good luck pulling "just the engine harness".
Its all integrated, you should know that you will have to pull almost every wire in the front of the car out. I have done this many times.
In case you decide to cut them get(off the top of my head, I am at work):
Injector harness wires
Wire for resistor box that goes to injectors
Crankshaft position sensor wire
Alternator power wires
Camshaft position wires
wiring that goes to the ignition transistor
Wiring that goes to the coilpack
maf wires
speed sensor wiring
Throttle position sensor wiring
O2 sensor wiring
Wiring for the starter relay and ignition relay
starter relay and ignition relay
knock sensor wiring
ECU plugs
If you get all this you will be able to make your own harness with the addition of your own alternator wiring depending on the alternator you chose and the relays/fuse block you choose to use. Stock dsm harnesses are speghetti, almost everything in the car is wired into everything else somehow(not electricaly, just physically).
