was the flange off the stock intake cut off and welded to the evo intake after the oe flange removed? thanks engine swap is looking good

I don't know the exact year of the block. Tranny is off counted 6 flywheel bolts. Was this the difference between the 6 or 7 bolt? thanks

I've got a 2.4 wide block from a mighty max. How do you tell the difference between a 6 ot 7 bolt? Any certain brand to use?

Have any of you guys here set down and built a sheetmetal style intake for one of these engines? I have a friend that has helped me do some stuff for some drag v8's before.

I got a chance to knock the bent valves out of my head and look at it this week for cracks. Found none so went on and set it on the porting stand to start with the gasket matching and bowl blending. When doing the doch head swap are you guys having any port work or larger valves put in done? I have acess to having it done cheap. Any valve spring or valvetrain upgrades needed? I'm wanting to get around 500 hp out of this 2.4/2.0 combo with some minor mods. Thanks

yes that helps alot. Is there any way to tell the difference without taking the cover off the computer? Maybe by the part numbers? My car is a stick so will the auto version or awd computers work also?

any way to tell the eprom computers from the regular ones?

gotten some time to work on this swap again. Are there any certian years to get the harnsess from that a better than others? Any year computer better than the next?

I'm in the process of gathering parts for my 4g64-4g63 swap into a 1988 conquest. What year-s of the eclispe are the best donors for the computer and wiring harness for the engine. Is the something else that could be used that is better? Are the eclispe,talon,laser engine wiring the same? thanks
