you said you had fuel pressure, but have you do a flow test on the fuel pump? a restricted fuel system will show fuel pressure but the second you step on the gas and you do not have enough flow the engine will stumble.

so what i have been reading so far all the "R" type trans share the same bellhousing pattern? If this is true and i have a R151F I think i like the 4.3:1 compared to the 3.3:1 first gear ratio. I haven't read into the the "W" types but is this the same for these? Either way Bill next time I'm home I ...

So i was doing some more research today at school on alldata. I finally came across a application chart for toyotas. According to the chart my truck has either a W56, G58 or a R151F. Besides the W56 does anyone know if the R151F share the same bolt pattern as the R154. Or if the G58 shares the same ...

you should tell him to add tire pressure as i have see it make a 5hp difference on the dyno, its not much but every bit counts. also you should check tire tread depth.

the dyno checklist to run at school is fairly simple. Full fluid check, oil, coolant, transmission differential.

Battery voltage. tire pressure critical that both are at the same psi usually run at 32psi. check driveline torque. lugnut torque. air filter. fuel pressure.

i'm trying to think if ...

i was looking on alldata today at school for toyota trans information. But from info i'm not sure. Right now i have the v-6 truck which uses a married trans/t-case design. So i don't think i could use my old t-case to the new trans but i'm not sure.

I'm not really surprised you made it into the step program, being from a state where being a highschool dropout is not a uncommon occurance. So since you seem relativly intelligent ...

the 1980s VW rabbit, with gasoline engine. The shear price of any componet on BMWs and MBs. I hate most of the styling on these cars, they weigh 9000 lbs and are not fast unless you are willing to 90k compared to most japanese cars.

Not sure on the specs for the Audi but i can look for them. As far as the camless engines the BMW 7 series i believe has been running the camless design for a couple years. w55 vs. R154 swap info

As i posted in a previous thread I plan on swapping in a 4g63 ina toyta 4x4 pickup. I want to make 275-300 hp and i might also add nitrous in the form of a 50-75 shot.. Can the w55 trans hold up to this or this this more up the alley of the R154. Anyone know what kind what kind of t-case bolts up to ...

I am aware of what the DI systerm psi is on a diesel engine, but i don't think the specs are anywhere near as high of a gas motor. A gasoline engine has no where near the compression ratio of a diesel even on a gasoline engine at high boost as it is not a compression ignition system. I was just ...

to clarify from my first post all DI is sequential, not sure if i made it seem otherwise by my wording. DI is a super precise SFI but with fuel pressure around 100-200psi. so those of you familiar with doing a prime and bleed on a diesel engine after changing a fuel filter will understand the same ...

uhh no, direct injection is so awesome because it is so efficient at atomizing the fuel. Instead of the 20 yr old style of spraying the fuel into the the intake ports where is waits gets to get hot and atomize better or gets colder and then can puddle before the intake valve opens and lets it in. on ...

It was proven on the dyno at my school that SFI is better than Bank fire injection, but only for like 8-10hp by one of my teachers. But when you start talking about direct injection there is no other way then SFI and the hp gains are rediculous.

is this is asked so frequently it should be in the FAQ. Anyways i know that 1g dsm are called 6 bolts and are considered among most eclipsers the better choice as the 2g dsm have the 7 bolt motor and it way more prone to crank walk. 4g63 wideblock vs. 4g63 narrowblock difference

I just found this forums last nite and have been readin them for a trans swap info for a 4g63 into a 4x4 toyta pickup. If the threads people keep saying 4g63 4g64 wide and narrowblock what is the diffence. I have never heard these terms when it comes to dsms.
