How many start stop cycles does it take to rest the computer?

How hard is it to replace the valve seals? Would my leaky valve seals be a main culprit for it not passing emissions?

It is a 94 2.4l. But you may be right about me not understanding how involved the swap is but I want to learn! I just want a daily driver with plenty of power

Well I went for it, I switched to castrol high mileage 20w50 and it only got worse so I took the valve cover off and found one lifter for sure was messed up. I currently run royal purple 10w30 and was wanting to move to a thicker oil and also switch to conventional instead of synthetic. I live in az so would 20w50 be good? Any insight would be appreciated thanks!

I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to swap to dohc. What year heads should I look for or would an engine from a 94 galant gs bolt to my tranny or what engines would bolt right up to it. I've been reading so much info on here. And tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The day I bought it on the way home the motor started to tick. I eventually switched from 5w 30 to 10w 30 and it solved it for a little while but now it's back and it sounds worse. I was hoping that I wouldn't need to rebuild until I was ready to do the dohc swap. Any info will help thank you
