ok, i have most of it figured out. heres my next big question. how different is the 7 bolt crank from the 6 bolt? is it just journal sizes or what? there isnt much...or any, options for 7 bolt wide block flywheel/clutch so if i could get a 6 bolt crank to throw in there that would be much better.

ok, so can someone link me to a good page with all the differences. or if you feel like telling me thats cool too, and also, is a 4g64 from a 95 mighty max for sure a 7 bolt? cuz i just bought one for a donor and now i need to re think it.

so yesterday i went and looked at an 88 quest. has some issues and needs some tlc but it has 110k on it and runs pretty good. i left him a down payment and i now have the title in my hand. :D . ill put some pics up once i get it home.

ah... i knew what that was... just didnt know that was the term for it.

im not sure if im worried about the width because im going to be using either a 240sx or a rx-7 front subframe so i might just widen the whole stance of it with a rearend of similar width. probly an fb rx-7 gsl (lsd) :D

That's correct. If you're putting it in a Talon you'll need a narrowblock so dont even bother looking at the Mightmax trucks. The Van, Expo and Sonata should all have 2.4L 6 bolt narrowblocks (if my sources are correct).

im not sure if anyone would... but does anyone know what rear end is in my 77 colt... and what other cars or maybe trucks have the same rear end. mine is shot and i dont know where to look for a new one. i could retro fit another one in but it would be easyer to just replace the 3rd member.

what car... or truck has a wideblock 46g3 or 4. ive been lookin but i dont know if the motors i find are wideblock or not... and when theyre in the car its hard to measure. im hopefully going to start collecting part to start the swap in my colt... i cant wait!!!
