ok, i have most of it figured out. heres my next big question. how different is the 7 bolt crank from the 6 bolt? is it just journal sizes or what? there isnt much...or any, options for 7 bolt wide block flywheel/clutch so if i could get a 6 bolt crank to throw in there that would be much better.

ok, so can someone link me to a good page with all the differences. or if you feel like telling me thats cool too, and also, is a 4g64 from a 95 mighty max for sure a 7 bolt? cuz i just bought one for a donor and now i need to re think it.

so yesterday i went and looked at an 88 quest. has some issues and needs some tlc but it has 110k on it and runs pretty good. i left him a down payment and i now have the title in my hand. :D . ill put some pics up once i get it home.

well my front pinion bearing blew apart a while back and it mared up the gears a little when it all locked up but when i took it apart it wasnt too bad so i had a new bearing pressed it and drove it even though it made a little noise... but now the front seal it gone so so gl-5 holds in there and i ...

That's correct. If you're putting it in a Talon you'll need a narrowblock so dont even bother looking at the Mightmax trucks. The Van, Expo and Sonata should all have 2.4L 6 bolt narrowblocks (if my sources are correct).

so... what is the result, compression wise, with just putting the '63 head on the '64 block? and about how much hp can the stock 4g64 internals out of.... say... a d50/MM, handle?

is there a difference between the bore in the 4g63 and 4g64? in other words, im going to be making a hybrid and i want to know if the 4g63 pistons will work with the 4g64 block.

im not sure if anyone would... but does anyone know what rear end is in my 77 colt... and what other cars or maybe trucks have the same rear end. mine is shot and i dont know where to look for a new one. i could retro fit another one in but it would be easyer to just replace the 3rd member.

i want to do a swap on my 1977 dodge colt. (usdm's version of the 1st gen jdm mitsubishi lancer) right now it has the 1.6 4g39 with about 80hp. :cry: a guy i knew told me a guy he knew... or something... that did a 4g63 swap to a d50 pickup so i thought that id look into it for doing it to my car ...
