The reason I want to do this is to avoid fuel starvation caused by the gas in the tank going to one side as you corner at high Gs (around a track).

As far as I can see it wouldn't matter how high you had the main tank this would happen.

My plan was to use the stock starion pump in its stock ...

Starion resivour for fuel / surge tank. Anybody fit them?

The reason I ask is I can't seem to find any info on the starion sites.
I want to do some track work and would rather have one instead of risking a lean out and blowing an engine.

Im thinking about mounting one between the fuel tank and diff. I can't mount it in the boot (trunk) for legal reasons ...

Hello fellow Kiwi :)

The bottom cam pulley is the same as the VR4 one from memory. So thicker than the starion g63 by around 6mm. And the bottom fan belt pulley is a different off set to compensate for the thicker cam pulley.

Ive just been told that the Rx7 box has better synchros. And they're designed for high rpm shifting.
Would I be better to get a whole RX7 box and change the shifter.
Great... more money :?

Find someone with a blown RX7 transmission and buy the input shaft from them and install it.

Like me? :)

I have a Box that is 100% fine-striped 3rd gear making BIG power of the dyno. 8)

I was going to fix it- but if you can use it.....

Ok...

I measured the input shalf and its 137mm from the same place you measured it. Very odd.
I guess my options are either make a spacer to go between the belhousing and the block or get a RX7 box and use the gear shift housing off the B2200 box.....

Any other ideas??

Ok so I measured between the face of the bellhousing and the end of the input shaft. And the input shalf sticks out 5mm further than the face of the bellhousing....
Please let me know how others compare.

Thanks for the help guys.
A tape measure should be good enough to give me an idea of whats going on.
I would have thought that all the R type imput shalfs would been the same length, but I guss most car/truck manufactors like to change things so they can sell more parts. :?

Anyway keep me ...

B2600 belhousing Part number

Ive been looking for a 87-88 B2600 belhousing for my wide block starion for over a year now with no luck. So last week in a fit of madness I rang Mazda to see if I could get one new.
The guy who I dealt with didn't have a clue what I was on about but said he would do some research and ring me back ...
