Just want to make sure that a factory rwd water pump(like from a MM) will bolt straight up to replace my 1g unit without trouble? I'm retaining my power steering and by looking at pics I dont see any reason it won't work. If so I'll run one of those. Also, it's been so long since I've seen it ...

Smallest trans in physical size is the MM/D50, also the cheapest. (Maybe you knew that already) It sounds like this is a buggy on a students budget, so it seems like a logical choice anyways. Find a beat down 1g turbo dsm for cheap and buy the whole car, strip everything you need out of it and scrap ...

No major fabrication news, but a huge step forward in the build. Bought a house with a 4 car garage, and finally got to move the project in :D Work will progress much quicker now that its only steps away, that is after I'm done recovering from hernia surgery :? Pics

the lsd from a 3000gt auto is 3.1x if i'm not mistaken, you could use the irs from that. i've also heard from many people that those rear ends are pretty tough. once i roast my 3bolt stocker, a 3000gt unit is what i'll be looking into
