Small victory today, got The Mutt running! There's still a million things left to do but it's nice to hear it kick over!

No the exhaust isn't staying like that, yes I know the water pump isn't turning and yes I know the wiring is a mess, one thing at time :)

WAY OVERDUE update, the shop has been crazy and my baby is now over a year old and quite the handfull, but my wife gave me the day off today to get some work done on "The Mutt"

Update. I was able to find a half hour free to finaly throw the engine in, I quickly fabbed a tranny moun and used a shim under the oilpan to support it, this is the final placement, I will start on the engine mounts soon,

So far things look good, lots of clearence on everything, I just need to ...

I just cut it out of some 1?4 plate aluminum with a jigsaw, traced it from the stock pan, took about an hour. Im not sure who to use for the converter, Im thinking Coan, going to be an 8 inch with sprag.

Looks great, I'm loving it. Where did you get the oil pan flange, or did you make it yourself ...

thanks, and yes the intake can be flipped like the forester did originaly, but there would be firewall issues.

Rear sump pan, need some help..

So i started to test fit my 4G in my Valiant(see build section) and like i thought, the oil pan and the new K frame and steering rack are not getting along, so ive started building a rear sump aluminum pan, but i have no idea where to find oil pickup tube material... Any thoughts???

Oh Great! Now you build a 2JZ adapter!!! Now im going to have to ditch my 4g and make the switch! The biggest reason i stayed with the 4g in my valiant project was because of the great price and quality of your adapter kit!

Hey Bill, I bought a kit from you a while ago, and you had mentioned to me over the phone that you had found some ARP bolts to replace the factory crank bolts used to hold the crank adaptor, any news on this? and do you have a part number?
